Melrose Leifeste, of Mason, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, at the age of 90. Mrs. Leifeste is survived by her children Randy Leifeste and wife Phyllis of Fredericksburg, Rodney Leifeste and wife Betsy of Floresville and Rheba Pence and husband Dale of Floresville, a brother Gordon Geistweidt of Fredericksburg, 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Melrose Leifeste will be held on Saturday, August 4, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mason. Interment will follow in the Gooch Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home.
Memorials in her honor may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mason, Zion Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg, Hill Country Memorial Hospice or to the charity of one’s choice.
