Lloyd W. Keith (aka Happy Hour) passed away in Little Rock, Arkansas on July 24, 2012. Lloyd was born on August 15, 1939 in Mason, Texas and spent his growing up years between Junction and Mason before joining the Army. On October 17, 1960 he married the love of his life Shirley Ryder. Together they lived in several places while Lloyd owned and operated a trucking business. They raised three children while living in Junction. Lloyd was preceded in death by his mother, Laverne Jetton; his father, Ernest Keith; one grandson, Kolt Keith, and one sister-in-law Wanda Parker Mahan. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Shirley and children, Rusty Keith of Springdale, Debbie and Red Griffin of Maypearl, and Theresa and Ritchie York of Springdale; his grandchildren who were his world, Brandon & Samantha Keith, Dustin & Alyssa Keith, Hunter Keith, Kari Adams, Tanner Adams, Baylee Griffin, Addie Jo Griffin, Jessalyn & Alberto Oropeza, and Megan York along with two great-grandsons, Koldyn Keith and Kylar Dale. He is also survived by his step-father Ennis Jetton of Junction, brothers Sam Jetton and wife Robin of Junction, and Mark Jetton and wife Susan of Austin; Brother-in-laws Robert & Barbara Ryder, Richard & Mary Jane Ryder, Joe & Kay Ryder; Sister-in-laws Aggie & Allen Johnson, Phyllis & Perry Henderson, and Lucy and Jr. Orona. Carl Keith of Brady and Shorty Keith of Menard were two important people in Lloyd’s life…they were more than family, they were close friends. Dad loved hunting and fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Many campfire stories will continue to be shared about his adventures and misadventures at various hunting camps and fishing holes. We will always remember his tales of the big ones that got away! Dad loved all things family and had a good time no matter the circumstance. Dad never gave up and always fought the good fight saying that when God called him home, he was ready. On July 24th, God made the call. Services 10:00 Friday at Mason Funeral Home, Mason, Texas. Visitation 6-8 Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Cavness Cemetery.
